Hi all, I have a 2023 tacoma SR, 5500 miles, automatic trans, access cab, 2 wheel drive.
Is this acceptable that the first 2-3 times the trans shifts accelerating and slowing down in the mornings(especially when its colder)-at low speeds 1st one at around 16 mph and the second jerk at 25-30 mph there is a noticeable jerking forward movement I am feeling. No noise of any kind but as I drive the rest of the day everything is normal no jerking at anytime throughout the day. I have let the engine warm up and shifted from reverse to park in the driveway too see if this helped but NO it needs to jerk the first 2-3 times regardless. - anyone else have this issue..., thanks for any input.
5500 miles in and hard shifts? Even it this only happens when the engine is warming up I'd have a dealership look. I would also keep a record of your visit in case they "can't find anything" and you need it down the road.
