Howdy, I've got a brand new tacoma, and I'm moving up north for my first job outta college. I won't have covered/heated parking for the first year I'm living there. A friend of mine told me about engine block heaters being common up there, should I invest in one? They seem fairly cheap, but I wasn't sure if its mainly a concern for older vehicles.
V6, automatic, 15k miles

maybe not strictly necessary, but it's good for your engine and fuel economy.
