Hi Scotty, I just got my first car a 2002 automatic 4runner with 214k miles on it from a private party. I've noticed that it takes a fair amount of cranks for the engine to turn over, maybe 5 or 6. I remember it took around 3 when I first got it a week ago and currently it takes 3 cranks only in certain conditions. Such as when I start it soon after I shut it off. Is there any way I could improve this? Perhaps get it to start on the first or 2nd crank? If so, what would I have to do to the engine.

Well tune it up first make sure it's got new spark plugs oil filter air filter fuel filter. But that doesn't work try my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner and try some good fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank
