4runner Supercharger.

I have a 2018 Toyota 4runner with 55k miles, its has an automatic 5-speed transmission. I am looking for better highway acceleration/performance, and have looked at the Pro Charger supercharger kit as a possible solution, but I also greatly care about reliability. I know immediately the kit would give the car greater performance, but what am I looking at regarding long-term reliability? Is this a good option, or will this ruin the reliability of the historically bullet-proof 4runner?

It will naturally cause considerable additional stress to engine internals, transmission, and the entire drivetrain. Not a good idea if reliability is an important consideration. Data from installations on other 4Runners would be needed to determine how much the vehicle's reliability would be compromised.

Well I heard Toyota engines are over built it can take abuse even putting super/turbo charger. Aside from that who knows is the long term reliability when putting supercharger, but I've seen guys putting supercharger on Toyota trucks and they held up ok as far as I'm concerned I haven't seen any particular problems.
