2003 F150 it has 128,xxx miles on it. This truck sits in the garage usually 6 days, then on day 7 it runs some errands. At start-up it vibrates, sort-of bad, then it goes away. The truck is fine the rest of the day! It does this only sometimes, but it is hard to accept. The K&N air filter is recently cleaned. I hope you can help me solve this problem.
If you are using oil on the K&N filter, stop. It messes up your MAF sensor. If that is not the problem, you need to scan it for codes to see what's going on.
Thank you, Doc. I have a lot of miles on this K&N filter. One week ago I did clean it per K&N 'kit' with it's oil. The vib's were happening, lets say 2 months ago. More info for you.
I would also remove the MAF sensor and clean it thoroughly with only CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner.

When was the last time you performed a tune up on this vehicle? Things like the spark plugs, fuel filter, etc. Clean the MAF sensor & throttle body like @doc suggested, then take it from there.

Have fun with the spark plugs!
Hello new friends: You both spotted my neglect of routine maintence. I re-cleaned the K/N, with no oil. I cleaned the MAF with the correct cleaner,CRC. I replace the fuel filter and you should have seen the sh_ _ drip out of the back end of the filter! And, what an easy job! Now, so far- so good real good. Smooth runin' 5.4'! I'll call a garage that did long ago, all 8 coils and what ever else that they did. Your pic. looks like a Cockpit. If so, what? Thanks really alot! Bob
