Scotty and the group, wanted to quickly bring to my attention an apparently prevalent scam. I took my 2007 F-150 to a mechanic that couldn’t figure out the ticking noise on it. Then every single Ford dealer refused to do anything other than a new engine. Guess what? An honest mechanic found the tick was a passenger side exhaust manifold leaking and it fixed it! My F-150 has 184,000 miles and has been meticulously taken care of with oil changes every 3k miles. Please use caution with the 5.4L Triton 3 valve. My F-150 now purs like a kitten! I wonder how many other 5.4L prematurely went to their death…
Oh I see that all the time. There's so many dishonest mechanics. It would make your head spin. Either that or they're just morons that don't know how to diagnose things correctly
