Dear scotty,
I have a 95 chevy k2500 5.7l it was making some top end noise. I ended up putting marvel mystery oil in it and the tapping/knocking went away completely. Should I still take it in to have what ever was tapping looked at and replaced.

More than likely you cleaned out one of the lifter which created the noise and now can move to stop the tapping the rocker arm was making. THATS a GOOD THING! Your lucky...wish I had that kind of luck ! But yeah..just make sure to keep the oil level full and listen for noises....they always declare when things are about to go wrong.
