Hey Scotty! I've got a boat with a 2001 5.7L EFI V8 GM engine (Mercruiser). Idles rough with light black smoke and has a hard time getting above 2400 RPM on the water; wide open throttle should be around 4300 RPM. A mechanic checked compression and said two adjacent cylinders had zero pressure. Think it's a blown head gasket?

Yes. Does the oil on the dipstick look like curdled chocolate milk?
No. Oil looks good.
