My 2010 F150 just clicked over 500,000 miles with no repairs to engine or transmission. Mostly highway miles. 4.6L engine, six speed trans. But it's getting old and I ordered a new 2023 5.0L 4X4 with ten speed and every tow package they have. Of course, they stopped making the 4.6L and six speed. Am I going to have trouble with the adaptive shifting getting confused when I am towing and when I am not? Can adaptive shifting be disabled by an independent shop? Thank you so much for your time.

Congrats on 500K!!! Any major problems along the way?
replaced rotors twice and heater core once. Heater core is acting up again now. Engine used oil some and trans shifted hard some but never needed repair.
