Looking at a couple of 2023 Prius, and the question is, AWD or FWD ??
The AWD is the the better deal (7k miles), but I don't know if I'll live to regret it, when I can do just fine w. FWD. The stuff Scotty says about AWD and tire replacement scares me a little.
That's a judgement call that only you can make. To go with AWD you're getting additional traction under slippery conditions at the expense of more complication to require maintenance and potential repair, using more gas, and having to replace all 4 tires if even one is irreparably damage.
Your call. Just be sure to have a good mechanic, preferably a hybrid expert, give the car a thorough inspection before purchase.
Your decision. The AWD gets the same mileage as the FWD model (51 MPG Combined).
