sluggish to shift

Just bought a used AWD XLE 2015 Highlander (v6) with 100k miles. Car appeared in excellent condition with regular maintenance performance, took it for a pre purchase inspection and got two thumbs up from third party shop. Nothing weird on test drive at all. 1st week of owning it I noticed it was a little sluggish to shift occasionally between 1-3 so I asked Toyota to do another pre purchase exam and go ahead and drain and fill transmission. Toyota gave it back with another seal of approval and stated no metal in oil pan and car was good to go. Not sure if this is normal for this yr car with the mileage? I own a 2005 tundra with 300 that shifts smoother than this car. Gas usage seems normal- 23mpg average, no it's not a hybrid. It goes great down the highway. No weird noises, no clunking, it's not revving high between shifts that ive seen. No codes in system. Any ideas?

Any ideas?

In the southeast region of the US, dealerships won't remove the pan and do a proper service they'll insist on a flush. When customers insist on drain and fills, they insert a tube in the fill hole, draw some out and add some back. Only a few quarts is exchanged. Still, you have some fresh fluid mixed with the old fluid. If it's still only "slightly sluggish" after their service I'd drive it "as is" AND not tow anything.

For some reason, your browser is generating several duplicates when you submitted your post. (At the time the screen shot below was taken you had posted this five times. Then three more were posted after those duplicates were cleaned up making a total of eight posts - and even more will continue to be posted if you continue doing whatever it is that you are doing.)

Are you having network issues? If so, then please wait until you have a stable connection. If you are pressing the submit button more than once, please stop. Press it once, and wait for it to finish processing. (You will find in most cases if you return to the main page that your post was processed immediately even if the submit button appeared unresponsive.) Otherwise it creates more work for moderators to clean up, and eventually the system will automatically ban your from entering.

@chucktobias oh no, im so sorry! Yes, it kept giving me an error page and say site not accessable so I kept refreshing and it must have duplicate posted!

@anxiouscarbuyr If that kind of error happens just take a step back and a short breather, then go back and check the main page to see if your post was actually processed. If your network connection is not stable please wait for a better connection. Thanks!

@chucktobias our internet and cell service was completely functional at the time it happened. It's possible the site was heavy traffic. Again, I apologize that happened if theres multiple posts I can remove for you please let me know and ill be happy to do that

@anxiouscarbuyr The site can sometimes be laggy, and it's made worse by AI scrapers scouring the internet for information. Normally though once you hit the submit button your post is processed even if the site does not respond right away.
