Lean condition at idle

Hey Scotty I'm in desperate need of your advice. I have a 2011 Nissan Frontier 4.0L v6 that has a lean condition at idle.

I've taken it to 4 separate mechanics and no one can seem to figure it out. It runs lean at idle but as soon as you step on the gas in usually evens out. I've replaced the power control module all 6 spark plugs including the manifold and throttle body gasket amd also the maf sensor. Now I was told the air fuel sensor and I just replaced it to no avail.

It seems like a vacuum leak but I've sprayed the entire engine bay with maf cleaner and can't find it. What am I missing here? Is it fuel? I've put it cataclean 2 or 3 times. I feel like I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. The only thing I've noticed is the throttle body was dirty at one point but then I cleaned it. Has anyone else had a similar experience to me?

These are all things the mechanics told me to do.

You need to find a better mechanic.

There only idea i had was the cataclysm to clean any dirty injectors maybe?

That product is purportedly for attempting to clean catalytic converters. Per Scotty a PEA-based cleaner like Techron or Gumout is good for cleaning injectors, or better yet the ATS fuel system cleaner product he has talked about many times.

everyone refuses to smoke test it

That's odd, it's a standard way to detect leaks. I just recently used that method to find an intake leak for someone that was experiencing the same problem.

the only codes I've ever gotten have been p0171

What about data such as fuel trims and sensor outputs?

What does a diagnostic scan for codes and live or freeze-frame data show?

I've replaced the power control module

Why? What diagnostic procedure led you to believe it was defective?

the manifold and throttle body gasket amd also the maf sensor

Were leaks detected there? Did the MAF sensor test as being bad? Did you install an OEM sensor?

I've put it cataclean 2 or 3 times.

What was that expected to accomplish?

It seems the parts cannon approach has not worked (it rarely if ever does). Aside from that what actual troubleshooting has been done?

@chucktobias These are all things the mechanics told me to do. There only idea i had was the cataclysm to clean any dirty injectors maybe? They told me spark plugs would be the problem I only did them because I knew I would have to replace the throttlebody gasket and manifold gasket. The other stuff is what the "mechanics" told me to replace everyone refuses to smoke test it
