Any thoughts on a 6th generation Chevrolet Malibu (2004-2007)?

No good.
It probably has to do with GM quality and that it’s been on a downward trend for years

Old and will be endless money pit

Best to avoid it, especially since it might already be high mileage (being that old) and on the verge of turning into a money pit.
