# 7 cylinder on 2009 chevy 1500 4x4 with 130000 miles

so do i rebuild the eingine or or get a remanufactured one or can it be fixed. if i decide on a remanufactured one where in houston would be a good place to get one and installed. if i change the motor can i replace the 5.3l with a 6.2l ? or do i need a transmission to go with it can do they have to change thing in the engine compartment to make it fix. if. you have any other ideas on this im all ears.

Talk to a mechanic and see if you could fix it but your best option out of those is to get a used engine from a junkyard car remanned engines are a waste of money because who knows if they'll even rebuild it right and it's the exact same for fixing it in most cases only get the engine rebuilt if your totally confident in whoevers rebuild it and they stand by their work. and don't whatever you do put a different engine in it. That'll cost 10x or more what the truck is worth. GL
