My dodge Dakota doesn't have an egr valve.... is this a problem??

Those aren't merely to reduce pollution so the catalytic converter doesn't create oxides of nitrogen without them generally vehicles actually run better

The EGR valves are a pretty lame attempt at emission reduction, by recirculating the exhaust into the combustion chamber. They frequently clog up and cause problems. I deleted mine and put a block off plate on it.
