4 banger 5 speed manual almost 300k miles. cruise isn't working anymore, I pulled off dang near every vacuum line I could and checked for any holes and cracks and there were none, did replace a few that felt on the weak side. I have replaced that brake pedal stop pad, have noticed if i pop the clutch at highway speed (85 mph) the cruise will engage and stay engaged. it will even resume speed when i press the resume button. i'm at a loss here, I have a 4 hour drive coming up on December 1st and would like for my cruise to work on the trip without doing the "stupid you are going to screw up your clutch system if you keep popping the clutch to turn on the cruise". won't be able to replace this car for another year, and i promised my wife and teen-aged kids I'll get one from this century and since i have enjoyed the reliability of the accords I'll be looking for another 5 speed manual 4 cylinder for my daily driver
Well it's got a switch on the clutch replace that that will affect cruise control but if not when you pop the clutch it jerks the entire transmission and engine and wiring harness and in that case you would have some kind of wiring short somewhere you'd have to trace it through and find out what was corroded and not connecting until you popped in it was jiggled
@scottykilmer
