Hey everyone, I have a 1993 toyota 4runner with the 3.0 3vze V6 engine. I have this idle issue that happens usually after several start and stops. For example if I'm out in the truck and I make several stops eventually it will start and idle very low, to the point of stalling. I have had it stall on me once but it hasn't done it since. If I let it cool down it will start up like normal. Seems to only happen after its at operating and I turn off the truck then start up shortly after. Any idea what could be causing this? I have asked in several toyota forums and haven't gotten a straight answer. Thanks.

The issue sounds similar but not quit. He seems to have problems just starting up in general but once he does the truck just starts and idles normally. Mine will start, idle really low, and I have to gas it for a while before the idle returns to normal.
Hello,
Run a check for fault codes, Check the coolant Temp sensor, and as suggested clean the idle air control valve.
Hope this Helps,

@dvkala
So far I have cleaned the intake system, I had the distributor and everything that goes with it changed. I haven't checked the coolant temp sensor though, so I will check that next. Thanks.
Hello,
Be sure to test the wiring continuity at the same time,
