Hey everyone! Got a 1979 Ford LTD 2 door with a 4 barrel 302. I want to get 300 WHP. Thinking about swapping a Lexus 4.6 V8 out of a LS460, would it work? If not, what upgrades do I need next? Already have roller cam, headers, return fuel line, distributor and such things.

Wouldn't a built-up Mustang V8 be a better fit?

Yes, I was mainly looking for any suggestions. Just curious and was thinking about building something different
With enough $$$ and custom fabrication almost anything can be made to work!
