Hi Scotty love your channel. My 94f250 5.8 automatic trans idles and runs great until I come to a stop then it dies. I’ve cleaned the whole throttle body and replaced all the sensors in top of the engine and replaced the fuel filter. Any info I’ve found scouring online has yet to help.

only when coming to a stop

you may have a vacuum leak going to your brake booster

Did you change the Idle control valve? I had a 97 Dodge Dakota with the same issue. It would start and idle fine, then intermittently died at idle at lights. It did not do it all the time. The idle control valve was going bad. Mine was $15 on amazon at the time and Once I changed it, the problem went away.

Yes sir I changed the icv also.

And I’m not getting any check engine light to pull a code for it. It’s quite frustrating.

And it doesn’t die at idle, only when coming to a stop. If I hold the brake and feather the gas at the same time it stays running

So what sensors did you replace? Can you list them all?

What about the fuel pump?

How many miles on engine and transmission?

ICV, TPS, Evap Purge, PCV, EGR, crank sensor, fuel filter, cap rotor plugs. It has 178k miles on it but I’ve only had it a year or so. I just found something that told me there is 2 filters as it has 2 tanks so I’m gonna try that, but it does it with either tank. I have not replaced the fuel pump. Thank you for your help sir.

I’ll check the brake booster as well. Thank you.
