94 Honda Acccord 2.2L vs 07 Grand Prix with 3.8L vs older camry/corollas (90s-early 00) for Daily - Higher Mileage
Hey there just looking for a little discussion. Currently my only vehicle is an 14 Tundra 5.7L 4WD Crew max with 108,455 miles. It runs great and i have no qualms aside from the 14mpg. Ive been going back and forth on getting an car to keep miles off the truck and save fuel. What would be the better older car with decent mileage on the cheap. I'd say older hondas are very common around me that could be had for a 1500-3000 that don't look too bad. Any other suggestions welcome.
Hello!
Scotty usually does not reccomend such old cars as daily drivers. I suppose people usually sell such old cars because reliability starts to go down or maintenance costs arise or both. There are 2 examples of similar context where other members have expressed their opinions.

Good luck!
I still see a ton of late 90’s early 00’s Accord, Camry, Civic, Corolla. And even some Yaris. I’d go as new as you can at the best price with a car that checks out.
@Kaizen Ive seen a few Camrys with less that 200k miles in the 2500 price point. Accords are there but a few are in the 1500 range that dont look too beat up. I follow Car Wizard too and he loves the GM vehicles with 3800 engine. Mainly buicks ect. id say im looking at those, honda/toyo, and maybe mazda.
