I found a 94 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 5.2 4x4 with 188k at a junkyard for $2100 it’s slightly beat up but I think it would be a good one to restore. (Or at least fix up) Should I go snatch it up? The ad at the junkyard says it runs but shutoff switch won’t turn it off. I am not sure what that means. Also AC is bypassed. Is this worth considering?

So you're prepared to pump money and time into it? Like many times what you buy it for? Like for another transmission for example?

Maybe. My father-in-law is a mechanic. So he can show me what to do. I am wondering how hard/expensive it is to get parts. And if it would be worth selling when fixed up. Or if it would be something to consider just for off road fun.
