So I’m replacing both the master cylinder and vaccum brake booster together but haven’t found a good video or guide to explain the full process. Can anyone tell me a step by step guide or link a video to a town car having the process included. Thanks ahead of time. My fate is in y’all’s hands so to speak because I’m clueless.

That should be the same procedure as on a Crown Victoria, Grand marquee, etc.. (any panther body car). So if you find a video on one of those it should be the same. But overall, Ford vacuum brakes do not vary much. So if you can find a video on just about any Ford in the early 2000s it should be pretty close to your Town car.

If my memory serves me correctly. First I would remove the brake fluid from the reservoir and remove both brake lines. Then you have to make the decision if you can remove the master cylinder and break booster as one piece or not. If not then remove the 2 bolts holding the master cylinder to the booster and separate. Then remove the vacuum line from the brake booster. The booster nuts should be inside the cab on the brake pedal bracket. Once those nuts and the brake pedal pin is removed, the booster can be removed.

This Video should give you a general idea of how to do it.
