I have 99 Hyundai elantra it has a exhaust leak. Would that cause car to die. After started and running for a few minutes

If you have an exhaust leak, get that fixed ASAP. When you have an exhaust leak, it will make the sensors in your car go off and the engine will not run properly. In addition, the gases that come from the engine that go into the exhaust manifold will get released in the engine bay that could possibly risk your health if it got caught within the vents.

A twenty three year old Hyundai. Obviously you don't have kids. It's time to get a new car or at least a used car that's only 10 years old. Cars with exhaust leaks can be lethal. What ever you do don't drive it.
