A quick search for a nice looking 2007 4x4 with 156k miles for $7800. That leaves a lot of money to do what you want to it, and end up with a newer truck with less miles.
I just think you could do a lot better by buying one in good shape with less miles, and fixing it up how you like to. After all, that is part of the fun!
