Hello, my Impala gas is not registering correctly. Last year my gas gauge said that I had a half of tank of gas, but when I had it towed to the shop, they said that it was out of gas. So now when my car gets to half a tank I have to put more gas in my car to keep from running out. Why is my gas gauge saying I have gas, but I don't?

bad fuel sender. The shop should have told you that.
