When I turn on the a/c or defrost the check engine light blinks and my car turns off in idle. It also doesn’t blow any warm air at all. Where should I check for the problem? 03 Camry 225k miles.

Check battery condition and alternator output. Turning on the AC increases the electrical load on the alternator.
The battery is brand new only had it for about 2 months. I’ll check the alternator though.
New doesn't necessarily equal good. Sometimes you get a defective one, or if the alternator is not charging it properly the battery could have been damaged that way. Best to check both.
