[Solved] Abs light blowing fuses

2015 tacoma trd pro. I keep having the “stop” fuse blow. It causes the abs light to come on and the traction control light to come on. Also i cannot shift from park without overriding the shift lock. And when the abs light is on i have no break lights. So my question is what could cause this fuse to keep blowing. Ive already replaced the break switch under the pedal. And i am aware there is likely a short but where do i start? Could it be a bad sensor? Or is it most defiantly in the wiring?

Do the easy stuff 1st.

Check all the wiring and connectors related to braking ... brake master cylinder, ABS unit and controller, brake switches, brake lights, parking brake etc.

Look for corrosion, knicked wires etc.

If you don't find anything obvious, somebody will have to break out an electrical meter and schematics, and methodically probe out each circuit. If you have no previous experience then I suggest you take it to a shop that specializes in auto electronics.

First, scan it for codes.  Next see Scotty's video on chasing down short circuits.  It may be a bad ABS control module or it may be that the electrical connections in the system need a good cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. It could a bad or missing ground or an actual dead short, hot to ground.

I checked the wiring for all my break lights first. Found a small nick in one wire for my third break light. It was rubbing on the metal of the bed. Repaired it. Hoping this small silly thing is the root of all the fuses ive gone through.
