Hey Scotty, I recently purchased a 2009 Lexus IS250 and absolutely love it, but the ac seems a little off. When the car is at idle the ac slowly begins to get hot, and if I'm sitting for more than a minute or two the ac just blows out completely hot air. The car blows freezing cold when it is driving (highway or city) and I'm not sure what is wrong with it but if you have any ideas I would love the input!
Are the radiator and/or condenser fans working properly?
You may be starting to run low on refrigerant. All car-based air conditioners leak a tiny bit over time to keep their seals lubricated. You can help confirm this if your air conditioner shuts off and on, on a hot day. It's supposed to stay on, if you hear a clicking sound, you're probably low on refrigerant.
yes the radiator and condenser fans are functioning.
