I recently bought an used 2020 Civic Type-R with 30000 km on the meter.
The AC has a very high pitched whistle to it.
I didn't have this issue with the 2018 1L Civic.
The AC seems to work fine otherwise.
I have only used the AC for heating so far so I don't know if this will happen when cooling.
I made sure the noise is coming from AC by turning it off and on again.
I wasn't able to pin point the source of the noise exactly but it is coming from the center console's direction.
Would you be able to help me diagnose what is causing this noise?

I would start by removing the fan and looking inside. Often something got sucked in there and then it whistles
