Hey Scotty! I have a 2004 Altima automatic tranny with 279k miles and the rpms are bouncing between 1-2k and in Drive it seems to always be accelerating itself a bit. What things should I check for?
Look for a damaged air intake duct.
Then check for a vacuum leak or a faulty PCV valve.
If that stuff looks ok, pop the air intake duct off of the throttle body and see if the throttle body looks like it needs cleaning.
If everything looks good and with that high mileage it may be time for a new throttle body. (if so you have to do a relearn procedure on that one)

Scan for codes most common on those would be the throttle body wether needing to be replaced or possibly just cleaned and calibrated. But that’s most likely for a surging idle
