Craigslist car that I recently went to test drive. Oil pressure gauge needle on dash would dip into the Low section when at idle at stop sign. Is this normal for this engine as the seller stated to me or is this engine all tired out despite being a Toyota?
Thank you in advance.

Over 20 years old with high mileage - don't believe anything the seller tells you. Dashboard oil pressure gauges can be notoriously inaccurate, check actual oil pressure using a mechanical test gauge. For that matter you need a good mechanic to give the vehicle a thorough examination before purchase.
