Mechanic and dealer can't fix soft brake pedal

2018 Hyundai Elantra with 71,000 miles on it currently. Issue began 8 months ago: brake pedal traveled very far and spongy. Went to trusted mechanic. Replaced both rear wheel cylinders (yes, has drum brakes in the rear) as they had fluid inside the dust covers. And adjusted rear brakes. Brake felt great for about 2 weeks, then started traveling further and further and spongy. If I pump the brakes, they feel good. Replaced the master cylinder. Brakes felt great for about 3-4 weeks, then traveled further and further and became spongy again. Recommended to go to the Hyundai dealer. Went to Hyundai dealer. They adjusted rear brakes and replaced front brakes and rotors (they needed to be replaced). Calipers worked well and no visible leaks. Brakes felt great for 2-3 weeks, then began to travel far... not as spongy this time. Dealer performed a pressure bleed. Brakes felt amazing for about 2-3 weeks. Then began traveling quite far. Took it back to dealer. He drove it when I got there and said they felt fine. I told him I had to pump the brakes to get them to feel tight and not travel as far. If it sits for a little bit, the brakes travel again. Very frustrated. The ABS works well. They are not sure what continues to cause this issue. Can you help?

Well I'd have to see it in person of course cuz I don't trust what other people say they did half the time they do nothing. Soft brake pads are often either a problem in the master cylinder, the booster or the ABS system if you have no air in the system. First, you got to make sure there's no air in the system and it takes a pro to bleed the air out of those because you need a fancy computer to bleed the ABS systems out. And it also takes a real pro to check the ABS system if that has a problem. Say one of the solenoids isn't working right? You need to buy directional computer to test it

Check your brake hoses. 1 or more could be failing. If the hose(s) expand when brakes are applied then they are failing.
