I would choose Acura MDX over Nissan and Infiniti SUVs. Nissan Muranos have CVT problem because it's made from Jatco. Infinitis don't usually last as long as an Acuras.
ACURA, ACURA, ACURA.
Acura for the daily driver.
As for a project car, since it is project car, it can be anything you want.
If you are looking for a combined daily driver and project car, I don’t recommend mixing the two, but if you must, choose the Acura.
The biggest thing you will have to sheet about the Acura MDX is the timing belt. Which is part of regular maintenance for the vehicle.
With the Murano, the potential big problem there is the CVT transmission, as Nissan is known to have trouble with them. The V6 engine may be good, see below, I think it is the same engine as the FX.
I don’t know much about the Infiniti FX, except that the V6 engine has been around for sometime and designed during the heyday for Nissan (before association with Renault).
Thanks I watched Scotty’s video on it and he said those Infiniti’s were better than the any of the newer Nissans made and if for some reason I couldn’t find the Acura what and the infiniti was the last resort is there any other issues with it Scotty said it was a solid built car https://youtu.be/Y-gam4zh_NQ
GTK that he made a video on the specific model.
Ok avoid the Nissans Muranos, they are kinda junky vs the Infiniti and Acura which are superior. Me being a fan of older Infinitis, I would tell you to buy the FX SUV even though they may not be as reliable or cheap to maintain as the Acura, despite the decent aftermarket for the FX SUVs (personally because of the fact that Acura refuses to put timing chains on their V6 engines vs Infiniti that uses it, so no need to worry about stupid belt services on the Infiniti, and I personally hate timing belts, and the Infiniti is more fun, has more soul and character), HOWEVER, the Infiniti is way too much money at that age and mileage, I think the Acura would be a better deal here with its cheaper price and lower mileage. Make sure to have the Infiniti and Acura checked out, look for any issues with the dashboard especially on those 2003-2008 FX SUVs and look out for any issues with the SH-AWD systems on the Acura since earlier ones had issues. Don't even bother with the Murano, they are not very good overall.

is he running out of questions
You never know
I vote for Acura. The Infinities become very expensive as they age. The Nissan Murano is one of the worst cars you can buy.
With that being said, make sure the car is checked by your mechanic before buying it.
