Hi I recently just purchased a 2009 Honda Accord with the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder that has 133,000 miles after totalling my 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5. My question is what are the week spots of the Accord and how can I keep it going for a very long time
Try to avoid 2008-2012 all accords and 2007-2011 camry 4 i4s. Get something newer. 9th gen accord 2013-2017 had zero issues.

Premature break wear and excessive oil consumption
Other than that it is pretty good. Also maintain the transmission as they are on the somewhat weak side.

Oil consumption problem is with the 6 cylinder, not the 4.
@acarroll both 4 and 6 had issues with oil consumption
@MrRangerZr1 - My bad, you're right. Looks like the 6 cylinder issue is more prominent and distinct from what is going on with the 4 cylinders. But the 4s are not off the hook. That is disappointing coming from a company like Honda.
our '08 4 cylinder seems to burn 1/2 quart every 3000 miles, never dreamed that we would have that issue when buying a Honda
