Advice for my new Kia soul

I just bought a 2014 Kia Soul with the 2.0 GDI engine from my dad who has had it since brand new. It has 205k highway miles on it. He has taken care of it religiously and drives like a grandma, so it runs excellently, doesn’t clatter, and hardly burns any oil. Even though I only paid $1500 for it, I want it to last as long as humanly possible. I need advice to keep this engine and transmission running for as long as possible.

eeehmmm ask your Dad ??? 😀

Seems Dad knows best. At least for this Soul.

If your dad took care of it and it lasted 200k miles why don't you ask him? I would never buy one because usually people don't care of them, you don't know the maintenance history, and it costs upwards of 10 grand. You got a good deal on a good condition car.

Just change the engine oil keep up on maintenance I mean the engines are not that good so it will fall apart regardless but take care of it highway miles is not that much it might last and for only 1500 bucks hey enjoy it.

Just dont push it, not even slightly! That engine/trans with 200k are like a delicate piece of China!
