Another question second day in a row for the same car , during the night there was some sort of a breaking in attempt, drivers door wont open via remote but other doors will open , a key opens it up if i turn it extra , from inside door wont open if i lock the doors from inside via the switch , but all other doors will open .
I opened the plastic panels to access the a metal wire thingy inside and all looks fine .
Any idea what this could be , perhaps the entire locking mechanism or something else ?
*If i dont lock the doors via the switch from inside and just close it regularly the door will open fine until i lock it once only then it wont unlock.
*Mazda 3 2008 active 279k kilometerage
*unlike what i stated in the previous post i confused with a different one .
Seems like the barrel/lock was messed around with. Even if you can't see anything wrong it's possible that the thing was frayed or disconnected. If all other doors work then a replacement is in order as your anti-theft would disable the car entirely otherwise.
what if you use the power door unlock switch
Using the remote unlocking from a distance fails to fully unlock the driver side door but unlocks all others i then use my key to turn it all the way for the driver door to unlock , from within the car if i lock the door using the power lock switch it will not unlock and id have to get out through another door or use key through window
don't waste your time and sanity
