2015 Toyota Yaris (2D). I managed to get my aftermarket radio wired up to the car and it powered on. During the testing of the functions on the radio, 2 separate wires (that were soldered) touched and caused the radio to power off and the ACC fuse to blow. I replaced the ACC fuse, but the radio still will not turn on. Even the original radio will not turn on. What could be the issue?
PS: I checked for additional blown fuses, but could fine none
Does your cigarette lighter work? Of not, the radio fuse is blown.
Go to an electrician.
I’m not familiar with the Yaris’ head unit electronics, but you could’ve easily burned the amp (if it’s external), maybe melted some of the wiring, and much more…
It sounds like you fried the radio internals. Time for a new unit.
Yes it does 🙂
