AGM or Lead Acid Batttery in a Non-Hybrid 2017 Avalon

Scotty,

 The factory Toyota battery for the 2017 Avalon XLS has been discontinued and (Group 24F manufactured by Johnson Controls), do I replace with an AGM or a Lead Acid Battery and if so what battery do you recommend?  Thanks Again, Mack

IIRC, the Avalon comes with an AGM battery.  If it came with AGM, definitely stick with AGM.

Look to see if Interstate Battery has the battery for the vehicle.  Johnson Controls used to make batteries for Interstate Battery, but now another company does, Exide, IIRC.  They may have what you need.

I would consider Lead acid battery as well. Just make sure you use the correct size.
