i have a airbaglight on the dash and on the side by the shift it says passenger seat light. When i sit in the passenger seat. it doesnt go off. Even when i click the seatbelt the light is still on and the seat belt light is on still for the passenger seat. Its a Toyota corolla 2009 70,000 miles. I cleared the code with the ob2 reader but the light came back. I was told to buy a new seat. What is the best thing to do.

It's probably a wiring issue

Is the seat wiring harness plugged in? Is there crud in the connector? Did the wires get damaged?
