I have a 2006 Honda Civic in which the alternator light keeps coming on briefly. We’ve had it checked and we’ve had the battery cables tightened but yet the light still comes on intermittently. Battery is also new.

What is the battery voltage with the vehicle running?
Do the lights flicker, or does the engine hesitate when the charging light comes on?

There is a charge light relay in the circuit that goes bad, even though the alternator is good They're available for around $50 everywhere.
