Hello, I have a 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited 3.6 Cylinder with 98,500 miles on it. It started getting cold and my car started making noises when it’s first started but then goes away when it warms up. I took it to my mechanic and was told it was a bad alternator. He changed the alternator and belt but the noise is still there. After changing it and driving, I have had the lights flicker on the dash, red battery light, and got a check engine code P06DA but the check engine code went away two days later. He is now saying that the transmission is the problem for the noise and a new battery would fix the battery light but am really unsure now since he’s tried several several things already. Please help! I am going to attach a video if I could so everyone could hear the noise. He added transmission fluid because he said it was low, but the noise is still there. Please I don’t know what to do or what can help the noise when I accelerate until the car warms up as well at the flickering dashboard lights that occur randomly. I have a little scanner that when idling shows the battery voltage go from 14 volts to 12.3 when accessories are turned on but then back up to 13.7-14 volts. I don’t know what the problem could be, please help!
Well, I’m not Scotty, but I can almost guarantee you he’d tell you to get rid of that thing immediately. If you can sell it and get any money at all for it, go right ahead. Otherwise, just junk that piece of crap. They’re worth absolutely nothing and you’re lucky you got 98,000 out of it.
