And what mileage is it too late to change the transmission fluid?

Hey Scotty, 

I just wanted to know when is it too late to change the transmission fluid? I'm buying this 2008 Honda Element with 87,000 MI and I wanted to change the transmission fluid in particular as well as the rest of the fluids as soon as I buy it. Is it too late?

Providing that is the actual mileage on the vehicle, no, it's not too late. Get a mechanic to verify the mileage. That seems a little low for a 15 year old car. You can also get a CarFax, they're useless, for the most part, but they are at least good for helping to verify mileage.
