Hey Scotty,
Best youtube channel! Thank you! I also had a Ford Maverick...the old 4-door, ‘74 with vinyl roof. Bought it for $250 back in the 80’s. Learned some basics on it: brakes, tune-ups, ball joints, etc. Had so much rust I’d warn dates before picking them up to be up-to-date on their tetanus shots. (Insert laughing horse image). Anyway, I’ve owned Ford, GM, Toyota and Nissan. My ‘08 Highlander V6 is pushing 345k! Burnin oil like crazy and front end is too loosey goosey for my tastes. I’m lookin at livin on the road for 1-2 years. Don’t trust the Transits or Promasters. Even the Sprinters seem like they can get expensive as hell if they break down. Can’t afford a Class C, or building out a Super C. For now, I’m thinking about a Sierra 6 cyl, maybe 2015 or 2016. Any thoughts before I do this? Oh, and I’m havin troubles getting past the Ford Econoline or GM/Chevy Savana/Express typical white van creepster looks. They look great tricked out as 4x4’s, but I want to get something that will blend in when I park...and less likely to look like my life’s possessions are inside waiting to be stolen.
Thank you!
Based on your requirements, all the above fit that. I'd get the econoline. But point well taken on looks and theft potential. But the room... good luck and stay safe out there.
Thank you HillBilly
