Kind of a funny question but, does anyone here have a driver’s license and can drive?

I’m 19 years old. I received my learner’s permit when I was 17 and I’m due to get driving lessons

Driver’s license for which class or classes?  Why do you ask?

I don’t understand what you mean by class, but I was just curious because I don’t drive yet.

See below: one license does not cover them all.

Funny no one responded out of the thousands of members here. Huh. If an imaginary licence for electric scooters counts then yes.

I responded.

Me too 😁

@Kerem Same I responded.

@alvin
Alright alright I meant when I first posted it only Day Walker had responded and that was for clarification

@Kerem Oh lol

Does a wheelbarrow count?

No, wheelbarrows do not count.

Motorbike licence probably won't be enough 😀

I’m pretty sure most people here do. I’ve had my license since I was 18 and I’m 22 now so only about 4 years. Before I got my license, I knew nothing about cars. Btw if you don’t already have your license, practice with your parents every day (if you have learner’s permit) and make sure the drives are more than just to the store 3 miles away otherwise it will take forever to learn and get the hang of it if you’re only doing short drives like 2 days a week. I practiced driving everyday with my dad going on 2 hour drives all over hell and back and I was ready to get my license after only having my permit for 2 months because of all that practice in a short period. Meanwhile I have friends who have had their permits for 3 years because their parents’ idea of teaching them how to drive is by having them drive to McDonald’s 5 minutes down the street like once a week

I got my motorcycle license the day I turned 14 and began using it immediately.

I got my learner's permit the day I turned 15 and drove every chance I got.

I got my driver's license the day I turned 16 and I've been driving as much as possible ever since in the same car I got the license in.

I used to have a poetic license, but it expired.

I find it interesting that people are learning to drive later in life like past 18 years old.

I learned when I was 15 and got my license at 16.

I had a friend who didn’t get his license until he was 23.

AYFKM???

I agree but from what i know most kids dont want to drive since you have all those rideshare service. Most of us got our license at 16 since those didnt exist back then.

My daughters both learned at 15. My son never had the ambition to, every wherr he wanted to go, every date, he always had some girl willing to drive him around. He graduated boot camp before he finally went and got a license.

I think the phenomena of not wanting to drive started even before ride share services came around.

It depends on many factors. If you live in the city, people are less urged than countryside to get their license since they can go fairly anywhere, especially with a bike or bus.
Parents can play a big part in getting your license. When you're a teen you don't have much money and if your parents push you and pay for the classes that's great but it doesn't always go like this sadly. I was never pushed or even encouraged to start my driver's learning course, and when I started driving I realised how much I loved it, but also how much time I missed waiting to start. Here it legally takes minimum one year, and with COVID-19 it took me more than one year and a half, a lot of pain and waiting to go through when people around you already have theirs and you really want it (if you like driving). Also if you're into driving some jobs like semi-haul truck driver require (here at least) a minimum of two years AFTER you got your license, makes you have to wait a long time and could delay your plans for sure.

Long story short, GET IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.
