I’ve ordered but not yet installed rotors and pads for my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ordered Ameribrakes from Carid.
I’m not familiar with the brand but they are US made (at least the pads are, the rotors i’m not sure). Anyone know of any major issues with this brand? (I suppose I should have asked before I ordered, but I can always return)
So I got them installed and put a couple thousand miles on them. Fitment was fine. No issues. Very quiet and smooth. And stopping distances were at least as good as OEM.
Definitely a good first impression. If other people have good experiences, I think they will be a viable competitor in the daily driver/OEM replacement market.
(now if we can just get US-made rotors...)
I would return the product entirely. You don't know where the rotors are from and you think the pads are from America. The last thing you want is the rotors warping on your car.
