Hi Scotty,

Firstly I'd like to say I've recently come across your channel and it's very informative. Thanks for sharing your opinions and knowledge with us all!

I own a 2009 Audi A6 2.7 TDI V6, Manual, 6 speed on about 130k which I bought last year. I've had an engine light pop up in the last few months which the garage checked out for me and told me that the swirl flips/actuators are snapped on the inlet manifold? (Apparently this is common on these engines) I've been told that to sort this issue and rid of the engine light I would need to replace the manifold which I've been told are between £500 and £600! 🙁  I'm not sure if this has recently happened or if it was like this before I bought the car. The car seems to be running fine regardless and I'm just wondering what would happen if I ignored it? Is it something that I shouldn't worry about too much?

Any insight would be much appreciated and I would love it if you could feature and answer my question in one of your upcoming YouTube video's? 😎

I hope to hear from you soon.

All the best and keep up the good work!

Many thanks,

Dan

I would not ignore it at all. If you have to replace the manifold- then do it. Where are you look for parts that cost that much? OEM, Rockauto, your local auto parts store, etc.?

Non-oem electric servo modules on an Audi? Sounds like throwing money down the drain.

Try this outfit for a swirl flap repair kit - http://www.vagbolton.com.  Hope it helps out.

Thanks, I took it to a garage in the end and they successfully fitted a repair kit for it. Cost me £175 instead of £600+....😎
