I have a 2008 Ford Escape 3.0 V-6, automatic transmission, with 310,000 miles. Still runs and shifts well. No rust and still looks good. When the engine or transmission does go out, would replacing both at the same time with remans be better than buying another used car? What is your opinion of Jasper engine/transmission? They are the most popular in my area since their home office is only about an hour drive from me. Thanks

With that age/mileage, I would not put serious money in it. Get another car.
