Is it a good idea to use AT 205 before a leak occurs? Like every 30K miles or so.  Will it hurt anything if no leaks exist yet?

No. We get questions like this all the time. It's basically a special form of fluid that swells rubber seals and restores their plasticity, that's it (you can only put it in an intact seal that has hardened up, if there's breakage, it won't do anything, and might make your problem worse). Really, it's only a temporary solution, the best thing to do is replace the seal when it starts to weep.

No, I wouldn't . I think it will make your seals wear out faster, and just cause problems.

It's a band-aid for when you're in a bind.
