Dear Scotty Kilmer,

Thank you very much for your informative, educational, and easy to understand car repair videos.

I had a 2000 Toyota Camry 3.0 liter V6 (1MZ-FE engine) with 257,660 miles.

I was told by a mechanic that I had an oil leak underneath the timing cover area.

I am guessing it could be a camshaft seal, crankshaft seals and or oil pump leaking.

I saw your videos recommending AT-205 reseal or Lubegard LG Fixx Seal Stop Leak.

I was wondering would AT-205 reseal help stop (slow) the leaks in these areas underneath the timing cover or an expensive labor shop taking the timing belt off and replacing seals or gaskets on a V6 engine the only option?

Thank you very much in advance for your time and expertise.  enjoy the rest of the week.

No, it’s not going to help with that type of leak.

Unfortunately, that’s the only viable option.
