Purchased new Audi Q5 Quattro, 2012 and has 50k miles, dealer wants $50 per qtr for ATF and takes 9, dealer told me they don’t change it until the transmission starts to slip, found a kit using ravenol ATF includes gasket and filter for $335, should I buy kit? The car works fine and I have a car lift in my garage, very hard to change the ATF? Thanks Jon
To be safe you always go with what the car company says.
Tell the dealer it says life time fluid which means 100,000 km or 8 to 10 years and u need to change the fluid.
Here is the tip -
Audi dont make fluids so it from some big company they need to source it from.
Therefore I go to castrol, mobile etc and look at what they say.
Hope this helps

Yes. Ask the dealer what type of fluid it takes. Do you have a DSG or regular automatic? Those are completely different transmissions that take completely different fluids, so confirm with the dealer first.
